Indonesian market leader Telkomsel has partnered with connected devices platform Jasper Wireless to deliver machine-to-machine (M2M) connectivity to enterprises.

The cloud-based platform is enabling businesses across the gamut of verticals to bring M2M services quickly to market and centrally manage each connected device on the network.

Jasper’s cloud-hosted platform enables enterprise customers to deploy and globally scale their M2M services rapidly, giving centralized visibility and control. Businesses are empowered to make intelligent management decisions that drive efficiency and profitability via detailed billing and usage reports, real-time diagnostic tools and custom device provisioning and usage controls. End users enjoy a zero-touch, out-of-box experience.

“Our economy is becoming increasingly global and connected,” said Alfian Manullang, General Manager Business Development, Telkomsel. “Enabling businesses in Indonesia to manage devices around the world from a single platform provides very exciting opportunities. We’re seeing robust development and innovation in telecommunications technology and businesses are inspired by the M2M opportunity.”

The application of M2M out of Indonesia will especially benefit vertical markets including retail, consumer electronics, automotive telematics, utilities and healthcare. To date, Telkomsel’s M2M service has served more than one million customers. Telkomsel expects this figure to grow in parallel with the increasing trend among Indonesians towards a digital lifestyle.
