ECI Telecom, a global provider of networking infrastructure, announced today that it has signed a cooperative frame agreement with CJSC Synterra, one of Russia's largest national telecommunications operators, for delivery of the XDM AE and BroadGate AE Multi-Service Transport Platform (MSTP) solutions to support the carrier's 60,000 km-long network, one of Russia's largest nationwide transport networks... ECI Telecom, a global provider of networking infrastructure, announced today that it has signed a cooperative frame agreement with CJSC Synterra, one of Russia's largest national telecommunications operators, for delivery of the XDM AE and BroadGate AE Multi-Service Transport Platform (MSTP) solutions to support the carrier's 60,000 km-long network, one of Russia's largest nationwide transport networks. ECI's multiservice and multi-technology XDM platform offers CJSC Synterra, the unique convergence of Carrier Ethernet, SDH and all-range ROADMs onto a single platform. A variety of both legacy and new packet-based services will be deployed over CJSC Synterra transport network through the future-proof XDM. CJSC Synterra is deploying ECI's class-leading 10-degree WSS ROADM in all major nodes, allowing for easy and quick forecast-tolerant provisioning of any or all services across the entire network. The extensive use of ROADM allows for OPEX reductions, substantially shorter provisioning time, and CAPEX savings by extending the optical reach. ECI is CJSC Synterra major network infrastructure equipment vendor, and as such ECI will establish an emergency stock warehouse for swift and seamless provisioning of packet-optical transport equipment to support the carrier's urgent deployment needs. To deepen the relationship between the companies, as part of this agreement, ECI will offer ongoing technology seminars and updates to CJSC Synterra employees to educate them about the company's innovative solution offerings and future developments. "Based on our existing relationship with ECI, we are confident in their expertise and capabilities and look forward to continuing to work with them in deploying our network," said Vitaly Slizen, General Manager of CJSC Synterra. "This long-term relationship, built on trust and the highest quality of product offerings, is a key component of ECI's success in the Russian market." "We are proud to help build one of the largest nationwide transport networks in Russia, bringing about greater connectivity and services to the whole country," said Rafi Maor, President and CEO of ECI Telecom. "This new frame agreement underscores the unique benefits of our optical platform to allow the convergence of different network types on one hybrid platform, enabling CJSC Synterra to maximize service potential, while further demonstrating our leadership in Russia's growing market." ```json { "@context": "http:\/\/schema.org", "@graph": [ { "@type": "Article", "author": { "@id": "https:\/\/essential-reading.com\/#defaultAuthor" }, "dateModified": "2013-08-14T14:38:47Z", "datePublished": "2008-04-18T12:44:12Z", "description": "CJSC Synterra and ECI Telecom Sign Agreement for Delivery of Packet-Optical Transport Equipment", "headline": "CJSC Synterra and ECI Telecom Sign Agreement for Delivery of Packet-Optical Transport Equipment", "image": { "@id": "https:\/\/essential-reading.com\/#defaultLogo" }, "inLanguage": "en-GB", "mainEntityOfPage": { "@type": "WebPage", "url": "https:\/\/essential-reading.com\/telecom-technology\/oss-service-management\/1205-cjsc-synterra-and-eci-telecom-sign-agreement-for-delivery-of-packet-optical-transport-equipment.html" }, "publisher": { "@id": "https:\/\/essential-reading.com\/#defaultPublisher" }, "url": "https:\/\/essential-reading.com\/telecom-technology\/oss-service-management\/1205-cjsc-synterra-and-eci-telecom-sign-agreement-for-delivery-of-packet-optical-transport-equipment.html" }, { "@id": "https:\/\/essential-reading.com\/#defaultAuthor", "@type": "Person", "name": "", "url": "https:\/\/developingtelecoms.com\/" }, { "@id": "https:\/\/essential-reading.com\/#defaultLogo", "@type": "ImageObject", "url": "https:\/\/developingtelecoms.com\/images\/stories\/highResLogos\/dt-site-logo-440.png", "width": "440", "height": "122" }, { "@id": "https:\/\/essential-reading.com\/#defaultPublisher", "@type": "Organization", "url": "https:\/\/essential-reading.com\/", "logo": { "@id": "https:\/\/essential-reading.com\/#defaultLogo" }, "name": "Developing Telecoms" } ] } ```
