Data centre colocation services provider Telehouse Thailand announced on Thursday it has partnered with state-owned telco National Telecom (NT) to link its facility in Bangkok to NT’s international subsea cable network.

Under the partnership deal, Telehouse Thailand will gain direct access to the Asia Direct Cable (ADC) and Asia America Gateway (AAG) subsea systems. That will enable Telehouse to offer domestic content providers and ISPs from neighbouring countries.

The ADC network provides connectivity between China, Hong Kong, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, many of which host data centers for major cloud and content providers. The AAG network extends connectivity from Asia to the United States.

Telehouse said it will also have access to NT’s domestic subsea cable system, which provides alternative routing via Thailand’s Gulf coast to NT’s international cable landing stations in Songkhla and Satun, ensuring reliable global reach across multiple regions.

Telehouse Thailand MD Ken Miyashita said the partnership with NT will significantly enhance the country’s telecoms backbone and support digital transformation across the public and private sectors.

“Leveraging NT’s submarine cable network, a core element of Thailand’s telecommunications infrastructure, enables our customers to efficiently handle the huge volumes of data traffic from Gen AI and cloud services, which are expected to significantly grow,” said Telehouse Thailand MD Ken Miyashita in a statement.

The announcement comes three years after Telehouse and NT signed a business cooperation agreement in 2022 under which NT would expand its service network by setting up equipment in Telehouse’s planned Bangkok data centre (which later [launched in 2023](https://developingtelecoms.com/telecom-technology/data-centres-networks/12670-telehouse-plans-to-open-a-data-centre-in-thailand-in-2023.html)) to provide data exchange services.
